You ARE what you eat!
Sep 12th, 2007 by Michelle
Since I have been dealing with trying to recover from Anxiety, Panic and agoraphobia, I have been really watching what I have been eating and have found out that certain foods will create havoc with me. Yesterday I found another one that I can add to my list. White bakery bread. I am not talking a slice of toast in the AM. I am talking a hunk of cuban bread lol a few times a day. Well add a peppermint pattie and a cup of caffeine and you have a good recipe for a day of panic and all the lovely feelings associated with it. So Out went the bread today, its just not worth it! My blood pressure was up. My blood sugar was 98 this morning before I ate anything (It usually is 80) Last night I felt like I was choking, I was breaking out in hives again. It was a huge mess. So this am I am back to my yogurt, egg and toast with tea (Decaf). I am much calmer now. Its amazing how long the physical effects of what you put into your body stay with you! If it wasn’t for Lucinda Bassetts program talking about diet and exercise I would not have really been made aware of this. I am also down 21 pounds since I changed the way I eat. I guess it really is true - You ARE what you eat!

Actually, you are what you absorb.
Congratulations.

You are SOOOOOO right about diet!
I found it helpful to make a list of foods that made me feel good (usually, but not only, fresh fruit & veg) and a list of foods that made me feel worse.
