Three things I take every day that helped me with my anxiety/depression tremendously!

I just wanted to share some things that I have been doing for the last 3 months daily that has helped me tremendously with both depression and anxiety. I like to give things a test period before confirming if they really do work or not so I figured since its almost 2008 and many of you have overcoming anxiety at the top of your New Years resolution list, I thought I would share. BTW I am adding this regimine to my Life Organizer system
Take a daily multi-vitamin. I struggled with this one for years until I found the ONE vitamin I could take! I can’t tell you how many bottles of vitamins that I have around the house that I never took because the pills were so big that I was afraid I would choke or that it would get stuck in my throat etc. One day I was buying vitamins for my son and found Centrum Chewables for adults! It has 22 vitamins and minerals and it has a pleasant orange flavor. It doesn’t upset my stomach at all but I do take it with my meal, usually breakfast so maybe that is why. Vitamins are essential to anyone who has anxiety/depression/bipolar etc. We put our bodies through so much stress that we need these vitamins!! You only take one a day of these vitamins and I take it in the morning. After you have taken your vitamins everyday for about 2-3 weeks you will know when you forgot to take your vitamin. I know when I forget to take mine, I feel a bit “off”.
Danactive probiotic drink - Again, we put our bodies through so much stress that we need to replenish. I drink one Danactive drink every day. I like the strawberry one and its the only one I drink. I tend to stick to things that I know work or that I like. The Danactive website has all the information that you need on it. My son is always coming home with a cold or the sniffles and I rarely get sick. I did have a cold the last week but I also went a week or more without taking my Danactive. I don’t know if it has anything to do with it, but in the middle of my cold I started taking it again and within 2 days I was better. So now I make sure I have at least 2 weeks on hand. Just check the expiration date and make sure it is good for as long as you keep it on hand.
Green or White Tea - I make sure that every day I drink 1-2 cups of hot green tea or white tea. I have heard a lot of health benefits with “red” tea but I have not tried it yet. The only green teas I drink are either organic green tea or white tea and the Tazo green teas. I like the Tazo green tea with ginger. (BTW The TAZO website is cool, check it out!) I buy these at my local Starbucks store and they usually are almost out of it. There are many many health benefits to drinking tea.
These are the three main things that I do EVERY DAY to make sure I have my anxiety and depression in check. These are just a small part of my daily regemine. I will post more in future posts.
