When starting a web based business there is nothing that is more important than your web hosting company and your domain name. Your web hosting company is virtually the same as your brick and mortar store front but on the information superhighway. Just like if your retail store didn’t have a good location, it is just as vital, if not more so, for your online business to have a dependable web host with a good domain name. Without a good “home” for your business and some marketing to go with it, your customers will not be able to find you, no matter how good your web site is!

Network Solutions is a reliable web hosting provider offering web site hosting service packages. When you choose Network Solutions as your website host, you’ll get the space and bandwidth you need, in addition to a free domain name, 99.9% uptime and 24/7 customer support. They have great website hostplans that start as low as $9.95 a month with annual purchase. Network Solutions also has the Find My Host Editor’s Choice Award for June 2008.

I highly recommend checking out Network Solutions for all your web hosting needs! If you have a blog and you need a home for it, Network Solutions can set you up with a domain name and a hosting plan to go with your blog or regular web site(s).

I really wasn’t sure what today’s radio show was going to be about, and then I had an anxiety attack lol. So I decided what a better topic than to describe what I went through and how it affected me.

Talk about a reality radio show lol. Listen as I talk about my latest anxiety attack while baking banana bread this morning and how I worked through the fear and finished my cooking.

Whew! I don’t know what happened but along the way of upgrades and modifications we lost the comments feature of our blog! It took me 2 hours to fix it but I am glad to say comments are now working again! Wooo Hoo.

I was wondering why everyone was so quiet and my regular commenter’s haven’t said anything in a long time, sooooo problem fixed!

Happy Commenting!

In reading the news this morning online I came across a video on CNN about LifeLock being sued by Experian. Experian has picked a fight with LifeLock alleging “credit laws do not provide for a third party to place fraud alerts on behalf of a consumer.” LifeLock services are designed to protect the consumer, at the expense of Credit Reporting Agencies profits.

If you don’t know much about lifelock they are a company that helps protect you from identify theft which is the fastest growing crime right now.

I personally think that Experian is upset that someone else is competing against them which will take profit away from the credit bureaus. You can watch the videos on the lifelock web site.

Well, for those of you who tried to listen to our radio show last weekend there was a glitch and all that was heard was a PSA commercial about depression. I do apologize for that and am not sure what happened but I am hoping that this next radio show will go much smoother.

I will also be posting podcasts on iTunes and other podcast directories, so anyone who is interested in an advertising spot, this could be great exposure for you! I am also looking to interview some individuals who suffer from anxiety and talk about your experiences with anxiety and what helps you cope etc. If you are interested then please let me know!

Our show topic for Saturday June 1, 2008 at 1:00 PM is “How to create a daily schedule to help with depression and anxiety.” You have heard me stress the importance of daily planning so let’s get you started on it!

I hope to see some of you in our chat room during the show at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/Anxiety-Sucks

I bought myself a new printer after my old one died in transit during my most recent move. I am not sure what happened to it, I opened it up and there was ink all over the place and as far as I know it was not dropped.

I noticed that when using my printer for color pages in a few days I already had warnings that my ink was low. This is when I decided that if I can print things online it would be much cheaper.

As you know I have a business so I need to print a lot of items such as flyers, business cards, custom magnets etc. Vista Print has been around for a long time and offers some really great prices on all of your printing needs. I have ordered business cards online and the quality is awesome! There is no way I would be able to print that high quality of a business card for what they charge. I would have to spend a lot more in ink and then the card stock to print it on!

Vista Print has many other products besides business cards, they also sell checks, rubber stamps, cards and stationary, invitations, hats, T-shirts, pens, sticky notes, labels and so much more!

Today I will be broadcasting another radio show. I will talk about making time to relax over the holiday weekend. Even if you have to work, you can still find some time to find some alone time to just relax!

If you can’t make it, you can always listen to it at blog talk radio!

OCD Boot camp on Oprah

Yesterday I was relaxing watching TV after work and saw a commercial for Oprah that was to be aired later that day. I saw that they had like some kind of OCD boot camp, so I decided to watch it.

I rarely watch Oprah, not because I don’t like her, its just that I am so used to working during that time I just never had the chance to watch her. There was one lady on there that was EXACTLY like me. She was afraid that her food was contaminated. That is a fear that I live every single day! I was watching her video of her examining her food and I said OMG that is me! Kenny was watching and he just looked at me before I said it and he asked if she was having a panic attack like I do sometimes.

I never really considered myself as having OCD and according to Dr. Oz on the show everyone has some OCD but for some individuals it turns into a fear that takes over their lives.

April has the most difficult time keeping her food and drink down. For years, she says she’s had trouble eating because she’s always afraid that her food is poisoned. When she sees the pizza boxes in the dining hall, she says she wants to run out of the room. “I thought I was going to die,” she says.

Finally, she confronts her fear head-on by swallowing some soda someone else poured. The first drink is difficult, but for April, the worst is yet to come. “It’s not over yet because it’s in me,” she says. “Now the fear is coming of what’s going to happen now.”

My biggest obsession is this. When I am driving I HAVE TO have a drink with me, usually coffee or iced tea that I only get at Starbucks because that is my “safe place”, on occasion I will get a meal at a drive thru like McDonalds but it has to be one that I am familiar with or I get paranoid about the food.

MANY times I have paid almost $5 for a Latte at Starbucks, stopped at a store and left the car unlocked, when I come back in the car I will not drink my coffee, I will throw it away because in my mind it is contaminated.

If I leave a open bottle of water or a drink on the counter in my own home and my son is home I will not drink it because I think he put something either by accident or on purpose.

If someone else cooks for me in my own house I get nervous because I think I may be poisoned or get sick. I remember after the birth of my second son Joshua who has since passed on, I would sit at the table and my ex husband would literally try and feed me. In my mind I would die if I ate food I did not cook I was also afraid to fall asleep because I was afraid I would not wake up. I had post partum depression very bad then. When I did eat I was physically ill.
Dr. Oz says mental anguish can also make someone like April feel physically ill. “The intestinal system has as many nerves as your spine does,” he says. “When you get sick emotionally, you get sick viscerally in your gut, as well. That’s why you get nervous and you vomit sometimes.”

I have a son who is totally addicted to thrillers and horror flicks. I personally have been unable to watch them because they, in the past, have given me panic attacks. I recently challenged myself to work through this silly fear of watching a horror flick. I am trying to work through some simple fears, by doing things “in fear”. It is really empowering to overcome a fear that your brain says you can’t do and then to do it and the empowerment rush you feel after doing it is a feeling that no drug can give you!

I watched the Trailer of The Frontier(s) online. It really was not as scary as I let my mind think it was and I plan on going to the movies to see it! (I’ll bring my Xanax incase my plan backfires lol).

The Frontier(s) is coming in theaters May 9, 2008. It is unrated and uncut and showing in select cities. See the select theater listings. The DVD will be released on May 13. This movie is unique because most unrated movies don’t make it into the movie theaters but this one is. Frontier(s) is a Horror movie so the trailers may be disturbing for some and not meant for children to watch.
